Phishing Email That Knows Your Address

This is an article from BBC Tech News, and describes an email that is sent by hackers who seem to know your home address:

"A new type of phishing email that includes the recipient's home address has been received by thousands of people, the BBC has learned."

Users are advised to be wary of any emails asking for money, no matter how legitimate it may look, and users should check with the company it claims to be from to confirm if it's genuine.

The emails include a link that downloads malware on that encrypts files on computers running Windows, and to unencrypt the files a fee is demanded, which increases over time.
